Episode 4: Rebecca Hall of Crush Boutique & Whitney and Winston

Episode 4: Rebecca Hall of Crush Boutique & Whitney and Winston

Today I'm talking with Rebecca Hall, co-owner of Crush Boutique and Whitney and Winston, all located in Boston. Rebecca and I have been friends for years now and we have very similar business beliefs around running our brick and mortar spaces.

There's a lot to our chat. We talk about writing a business plan (yeah, you should), picking a business partner that's in it for the long haul, and why going with your gut when hiring can be more important than a candidate's experience. Rebecca and her business partner Laura own three brick and mortar spaces and Rebecca shares some of the lessons they've learned around adjusting their offers and expectations based on the different needs of different clienteles. We also talk about how we brick and mortar owners can stand out in the wake of online retail by offering customers things that online just can't give them.  This episode is chock full of useful advice not only for running your brick and mortar but for all those interested in the start up process.  Enjoy the show!
